Yes and would have probably have been killed or seriously injured.
I had thought the slide to the bottom of the neoprene would have been real but now we learn he had a safety rope attached.

In respect of the video I posted, as soon as the stuntman goes out of shot you know its fake.

For the sake of my children (one of whom is 20) it was well made and appeared to be reallistic.

Personally, Im just impressed with the editing, the graphics (when he is in the air), and the insane idea behind it all.
