AC Specialist please!!!

Im trying to figure out which Air Conditioning unit suits my home. I want to install either a split air conditioner unit or a through the wall airforce one. Both units, I have seen at bnq but none will actually function if installed.
Why??
Well my living room has no exterior walls as it is a mid terraced house, the two rooms adjoining are my kitchen and a dining room so I have no immediate access to the exterior of the house. The nearest exterior wall is 8 metres from the living room, taking into account the height of the indoor unit (split air conditioner) when installed (2m from ground level). I am querying whether there are any other options available to me. Can i buy a unit which provides me with an exhaust duct of over 5m. From what i have come across, 5m is the maximum available for domestic units. If such a uniy exists, I can mount the external unit outside and feed the exhaust cables along the kitchen wall, into the main unit inside the living room.
PLEASE HELP!! I need to get this sorted b4 the blazing weather kicks in!!

Of course there are always options, but usually it's the funds that's the limiting part.
A decent air conditioner can do runs up to 30m with a small drop in performance. However if you want it for B&Q money this is where we part company

Split AC units have interconnecting pipework not exhaust duct, the 2 pipes are insulated and you can usually run to a max length of 30meters. If you are thinking of running ductwork to the room you want to cool I would forget it, it's expensive. I would tend to agree with r.bartlett, B&Q units are designed to go straight through the wall with the condensing unit directly below, the lagest you can get is a 3kw unit and this will only cool a small room with about 2 people in it, if you really want AC then get profesionals in.

cheers chaps, i was a bit confused at first, but figured it all out eventually.
I agree, BnQ stuff is fairly trivial, not ideal for the more complicated design and setups.
