Accenta 8 mini alarm not activating in power cut

Hi there everyone. I have a Accenta 8 mini system, when we have the odd power cut the the alarm does not activate as it should. Anyone know why this is, it used to before until i changed the internal 12v battery. The alarm itself works fine. Even if i hold down the tamper button and remove the cable to the internal 12v battery the alarm will not go off, which i believe it should do.

Your alarm should NOT go off in a power cut unless your BACK up battery is faulty that's what it's there for!
