Accenta G3 query

Hi,

I have a Accenta G3 alarm system that was installed prior to me purchasing the house. I have tested it with the electricity supply turned off to see if it still works. The alarm, sensors and keypad all work as expected. However on triggering the alarm, the alarm in the house rings ( built into the G3 unit ), but the alarm outside doesnt ring. The alarm outside does ring if the electricity supply is available.

Is this as expected or is there something wrong. If the latter what could this be.

Battery in the panel possibly not sufficient to power the bell, or the bell box doesn't have a battery or its battery not turned on
