Hi, I have an issue I can't find the answer to despite reading so many threads in various places.
I've moved into a house where this alarm had been fitted around 2005. The control panel battery was replaced 3 years ago and is okay.
I don't have the user code or the engineers code. I have tried 0123 and 9999 but no joy. My next step was to disconnect the mains power,
remove the cover from the panel, then disconnect the battery. Of course this triggered the tamper alarm. I entered the codes while the battery was connected
but no joy.
I left the battery and mains disconnected fro a couple of minutes, then reconnected. I then entered the reset defalt code - 0123 the alarm continued, so I tried 9999
the alarm continued. I tried prog then 9999 you've guessed - the alarm continued.
Since we moved in we have not been able to set the alarm. On one occasion a visitor accidentally pressed the PA button and I had to disconnect the mains power
to stop the alarm. As I recall it stopped sounding without taking the front off the panel at that time.
There are a number of wires that are loose inside the panel, some are joined together. I have no reason to suspect anyone other than an engineer (in 2021) has been inside the panel until now.
That's about it. The local firm who replaced the battery for the previous owner are no longer around.
All help is appreciated.
Richard
