Accenta remote

I have just installed an Optima Gen 4 all OK but the remote LCD panel has me puzzled !
In unset mode showing time and date if the lid is open the alarm activates if I close it
Is this normal or should the lid be closed immediately after punching keys ?

Not just me then ? Bad tamper on keypad ?

the keypad has a drop down cover over the buttons close it when the alarm is
unset and the alarm goes off. leave the lid/cover down and the alarm works
perfectly normal simple as that !

Sounds like bad back tamper on keypad , ajust Spring ( stretch slightly) and re test

The lid cover is just a lid cover simple as that!

Thanks for the replies. Let me tell you what happened next Never know it might help somebody one day !
You are right of course musszzy but I didnt know that till I looked. you to sparkymarka ! I took the keypad
apart to check inside nothing to be seen so reassembled and it worked fine. I suspect the keypad wasnt
pushed fully in to the backplate and the tamper was only connected by a hairsbreath my operating the
keypad cover created enough movement to break the contact and set off the alarm. The simplest of
things can go wrong !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
