Evening all,
I have a squeaky Joist/Joist bracket and/or floorboard and need access to fix it. It’s at the top of my stairs. The boards have been glued down which I’ve tried lifting and have only been able to loosen them along the front and left joist. There are three joists which run front to back from the stairs. You can see where these are where I have drilled and screwed the boards down to initially stop the squeaking. What’s the best approach you guys would recommend? Do I cut a hole and gain access or remove the board completely and replace. Additional challenge I have is that the stair post covers the floorboard which makes removing even more difficult. Help!
