Acer 5332 Laptop CD/DVD Drive

Evening folks,

I would appreciate some advice on replacing the titled drive with another suitable one please. If I buy the same make and model but with a different ROM VER will it still work? Does it need to be from the exact same laptop?

As long as the shape and connector position are the same then any will work with new drivers installed
