I recently purchased a property which has a Worchester 250 combi boiler, and a hortsman mechanical timer. I recently found a small (1.5" x 1") acl lifestyle fitting in the hall, it is wired with a 1.5mm T&E cable and seems to only be a resistor and capacitor, I followed where the wire ran to and it seems to connect to something to do with my boiler.
Does anyone have any idea what it could be and if I actually need it. I know that the boiler was put in around 6 years ago, could this be remnants of the old boiler or is it still in operation.
Any help woulbe be appreciated as I am trying to get me head round how the house is wired, plenty of unused cable, and cable running to mysterious parts of the house.
