aconis image(seagate hard drive)

I've got a external seagate hard drive and have used the seagate software to create an image.
The pc is now slightly problematic so I am looking to use the image to restore it.Any ideas how to use the software as it has got me stumped.

I've used it, but I am sure you boot off the CD that was provided with software. If you can there is usually an option to pull an image from an external USB device.

Make sure you don't loose any data including email currently on your HD as it will wipe everything.

I use Acronis, and that gives you an option to create a recovery CD which you then boot from to restore the image or parts of the image.

I got the image on the segate drive but I'm just not sure how to create the cd to restore it back to the C drive .any ideas

Run the Acronis application and look for a "Create bootable rescue media" option. Use that to make a bootable CD, then boot from the CD and restore whatever you need to restore.
