Am currently putting the floor in on my loft conversion (controlled) - there was 150mm thermal insulation in between joists which I've left there - is this adequate for building control sign off or does it need to be acoustic insulation?
I've already glued a couple of rows of T&G boards down so can't lift them, but realised today it may have needed to be acoustic roll instead - can't find specific info on building regs for this
If it does need soundproofing between floors, would building control accept acoustic underlay under the carpets instead? It's private building control if that makes a difference
