Hi Guys,

Need to add a new rain water pvc pipe into the existing drain. The existing drain looks to be made from clay (see photo). The new pipe is coming from the side of the drain and needs to be buried.

What is the easiest way to do this please?

Thanks

OP,
Why not stand back & pic the elevation - indicate where the new RWP will come from & its proposed run?
Also indicate which direction the present drain is running?

FWIW: Best practice to remove the "conduit" & cable, & the loose cable, to a better position.
Also, the sand & cement plinth needs to be removed - do you have any interior damp signs?

OP,
You will have to replace the present clay gulley with a plastic bottle trap gully.
Dig & expose & record the present drain size.
If you go to "drainage sales" on utub - look at the very last bottle gully the guy shows - it will help you understand what you need.
Then go to a local Plumbing Supplies with the info you've shown on here - plus, a plastic hopper.

I dont know the full circumstances of your plans so I cant help much more with your gully selection.
When you have the pipes and fittings on site then you could come here back for help with the installation?
FWIW: a number of possible problems can be seen in your pics?

Thank you

Can I just cut into existing gulley with a grinder and join the pvc pipe, then maybe just cement it in?

Replace the existing gully with a back-inlet fella, then tap your new one into the back inlet.

Can't help wondering why the drainage wasn't sorted before that new trench was back-filled?
