Hi,
I'm trying to run a 2nd corded switch wall light from an existing ceiling pull switch which appears to be the last one in the circuit - the feed consists of 1 x black switched live, 1 x red live and 1 x earth. Can anyone advise how to connect the 2nd light please so that both lights work independently of each other?
Many thanks,
C

Your need to run a cable from the ceiling rose where you will find the permanent live (phase) and neutral (and earth of course).

Since the wall unit has it's own switch, there's nothing other than perm LNE required.

The switch point your considering cannot be used.

Strange to have a pull cord switch for a room, it's not a bathroom is it? If so you MUST consider bathroom regs and safety regarding position, IP rating and zones.

Taken from the Wiki section. Your new wall light would need to be wired into the same terminals as the supply/supply to next light. As you can see, the cable to the switch does not have a neutral so it can't be used.
