Hi all

I'm planning a garage conversion and have a small radiator in my hallway which is where the door into the garage will be. My idea was to use the feed for this rad to supply the new rad in my garage, however I will be without a rad in the hall way. Could I somehow come off the pipes that are supplying the rad in my kitchen to feed a new one in the hall.? If so, what is the best method and if not what is my best option. My central heating is run by a conventional gas boiler.

Thanks

Andy

Andy mate, the pipes that serve your existing Hall rad may be OK to serve the Hall rad & the additional rad in the Garage. Please confirm what size pipes your existing rad has. Also what size your new Garage conversion will be?

Hi Thanks for the reply. The pipes look like 10mm to me and the garage is 5m x 3m. The reason I suggested using the kitchen rad for the feed is that the new hall rad would be mounted on the other side of the wall so there would be no pipes showing. If I was to use the feed from the original Hall rad I would have to run the pipes ontop of the walls. My house is only 4 years old and has dot and dab walls.

Thanks Again

Sorry Andy, but it sounds very much like you'll need to connect your Garage rad pipes back to the main manifold on the system or at the main 22mm F&R.

I'll use the feed from the hall radiator for the garage radiator and try the hallway without a rad.

Thanks forthe reply

I was hopeing you were going to say they were piped up in 15mm & it'll carry about 6KW.

If you were a bit nearer me Andy i'd have a look & see if there was any other way round it. Good luck fella.
