Hi,
We've a Bosch Greentstar CDi with Drayton LP711 timer. Presently the CH runs whenever the timer is set to ON (hot water supply is independent of timer).
I'd like to add a room thermostat (Drayton RTS 1) so that CH only comes on if the Timer is ON and room temp is less than that set on the thermostat.
The timer is located low down in a cupboard so it can't (easily) be replaced with a programmable thermostat.
Timer is wired as follows
N to Boiler NS
L to Boiler LS
1 to Timer L
2 N/C (no connection)
3 to Boiler LR
4 N/C
According to the Drayton wiring diagrams I wire the thermostat as follows
N to Timer N
L to Timer L
3 to Timer 3
Is this correct - I don't see how this will allow the thermostat to control the boiler as it is wired in parallel with the timer.
Any advice/tips much appreciated.
Thanks
