Good evening,
We recently acquired a lovely wooden fire surround that came with downlights - it all works perfectly and has a plug for the mains as does the fire.
Both plugs are in the leg of the surround so there are no cables showing and all is tidy, however my question is can I fit a switch to the lighting circuit so I can turn the downlights on an off on it's own..
I was thinking - if possible? a small narrow switch or something ?
Fitting it isn't the issue, just wandered if it was at all possible..
The switch itself would be fit on the side of the leg where it wouldn't be on show but would be in line with the wiring of the lights.
Thanks

oh dear, anybody writing a spec should be conversant with terms i think

Aren't there colour-changing lamps that have a permanent supply and can be switched on and off via a remote?
