Hi,

Is there an suitable adhesive that we can use to glue the shower head rail in place rather than drill as I'm nervous about cracking the tiles.

Thanks

Sad fact is that even if you find an adhesive that will stick you are then relying on the tile adhesive and the tile glaze to hold. suprising how much pulling about a shower head gets, even many screwed ones get pulled off the wall because the screws are not long enough.

Be brave :D

Check for pipes with a metal dectector, fingers crossed you don't have a plastic one there
Put two layers of masking tape on to prevent slipping, use a new masonry drill with hammer off until you have gone through the tile, then you can use hammer if required.
Ensure the wall plug passes through the tile into the wall so it does not expand in the tile, you may need to run the next size drill though the tile only, to allow clearance if the plug has a wide rim around the end.

Make sure the screw goes well into the brick behind (the full length of the plug) often the screws supplied are way too short, do not overtighten.

The exception is if you have porcelain tiles They are not very common and unless you specified them they are not usually supplied, they are incredibly hard a masonry drill will get nowhere you'll soon know!

Good luck,
