hi, i've linked to the images below. my front door is rubbing at the bottom which makes it hard to open and close and the it is becoming a problem to lock the door. you have to lift the handle and yank it up before the key will turn. just wondering if i can do anything mysef or should i get someone in to look at it?

Is it just rubbing at the bottom on the handle side? If so it has dropped a bit.
Ideally it wants heal and toeing but you may be ok just winding the door up a bit.

Have a look under the hinges where they meet the frame, Look for a removable cap (may need a little knife to get them out).
Under the caps there will most likely be an Allen key head, Turn them clockwise to raise the door.

Watch the hinge as you turn as some move in and out as well as lift and you want it at the same distance or the door may bind. Adjust all 3 hinges by the same amount.

Looks like a profile 22 door. These flag hinges have 3 adjustments using allen keys.
As Gazman said the adjustment on the underside of the hinge simply moves the door sash up or down a bit.
If you remove the top round cap there is another adjustment which moves the door sash a little bit in 4 directions.
The other adjustment is where the hole is on the front of the hinge. If the door is just rubbing a bit on the front and you are not sure about toeing and heeling then try turning the screw inside the hole on the top hinge first so it pulls the door back up a bit. The bottom hinge can then also be adjusted if needed in the opposite direction to try and square the door up a bit.
