Laying laminate (probably from the Quick Step range) in an upper apartment that has a concrete floor and is still covered by the original tiles, possibly thermoplastic and they'll be staying in place.
There are a fair few more options these days when it comes to underlay for laminate! Obviously one objective is to reduce noise to a reasonable degree for the property underneath whilst making the laminate comfortable to walk on. I've been looking at this product, does it seem like a good choice and am I right in thinking the use of a polythene vapour barrier acting as a DPM would not be required in this setting?
Or would you recommend an alternative?
