Hello everyone.
I have recently undergone renovating a mid 1800s cottage and now I want to tackle the external. Currently the walls are covered in flakey paint and it seems lots of concrete patches have been applied to cover holes and blown bricks. I need to remove old paint and then I would like to apply a render to make the house look good and to provide a some protection from the elements. Can anyone give me advice of where to start?
Many thanks in advance.

Thank you for that. Would that not damage the brick underneath seeing as the tool is designed for metal?

The rougher the brick face the better the key for render, it will not blow the bricks apart if that's what your thinking.
