After much thought I would like some advise on the following please.
Kitchen extension planned, so we are replacing our 30 yr old internal conventional oil boiler. I would like a boiler that can be mounted externally in a wall but google gives me a lot of choice and I need some recommendations please on good value and ease of installation. It will be installed by a plumber friend who is not Oftec registered so is it notifiable to Building Control. How would I work out what size I require and then the best place to get one.

Thanks in advance.

Any installer can answer those questions; the one that is going to do the job should tell you after a site visit.

There are some externally mounted oil combi boilers that belt out the DHW. Home in on one of those.
