Hi all,
I am in the process of planning my bathroom renovation, having moved into a Victorian tenemant building with only a hand held shower over the bath.
I have an open vent boiler system with unknown capacity hot water cylinder and unknown capacity cold water tank. I have considered changing to a combi but advice when I got the boiler serviced was that it has a long life ahead of it and would not be a good idea to replace unless really required.
My flat is one bed, I live on my own but my girlfriend will be moving in within a year, we both prefer showers to baths.
My plan is for the following items:
- Lefroy Brooks thermostatic mixer shower
- 1.5 Stuart Turner Ecomate or 1.5 Salamander pump
I am worried about running out of hot water between showers and am looking for advice on what other steps I can do to maximise the experience without having to resort to 2min showers.
Are there flow restrictor valves or anything similar?
What size hot water and cold water tank capacities should I be checking for?
Any other advice?
Kind regards
James
