Looking for some advice on this issue as I can’t seem to see anything specific on the internet.
I moved into my house 3 years ago, in front of my house next to the driveway is a front garden lawn area approx 5x5m2 and an enormous overgrown bush running along the pavement boundary, over the years when the council have maintained the tarmac on the pavement they have only ever tarmac’d up to the bush and not underneath the bush up to the boundary, assuming because the bush was overgrown and it’s not there job to be trimming to bush back to get the tarmac underneath it…
We have removed the bush and dug out the grass for a gravel parking space now. The pavement is still rough as anything as you can imagine on the boundary.
Can anyone advise me on what position I’m in to getting this rectified. Is this the councils issue or are they likely to say it’s my issue as the bush has not been maintained well enough (previous owners)
Ps the kerb is dropped in front of my drive, so I do have vehicle access onto my drive. The kerb isn’t dropped where the bush used to be but I don’t plan on driving over the raised kerb to use the new parking space, it will still be accessed from the dropped section of kerb
Thanks in advance
