hi
Looking for advice on how best to remove paint and in some cases paper and paint from curved plain plaster coving.
Wallpaper steam stripper seems to be working ok but its difficult to scrape paint off due to the curve.
Option so far is to adapt a standard shave hook type scraper to match the curve and draw the paint off once the steam has been at it.
Coving is about 140mm depth and fairly solid and hard, got at least two rooms to do so a fair few metres to get sorted.
The flat area below the coving is also bad in most places but easier to scrape and although a pain I'm thinking it needs removing rather than filling and sanding.
