Hi,

AS you can see from the pic (see link) I need a ridge tile replaced. The other ridge tiles don't seem to be too bad and I haven't seen any evidence of leakage.

Can anyone give a guide on how long this job would take? I've only had one quote so far and will be getting more as it really seemed over the top for what appears to be a small job. The roof is slate and I don't have the equipment to get up there myself.

Thanks

A ridge tile will take less than 5 minutes to rebed. But don't expect to pay £10

Its a small job if it was on the ground .... but when you have to go up on a roof, risk falling off, possibly break other tiles on the way up or down, have to pay for equipment and insurance etc ..... then the cost of the job rises a bit.

Get some other quotes

I completely understand that Woody. It may take an hour or two to get to the job and setup but that's all part of being a roofer right? You add that time in when you quote but it's certainly not a job that will take all day. I am waiting for a couple more estimates.

wheres the pic?
no more than £70 £80 for 1 ridge and thats to supply and fit.

thats assuming its a normal 1 storey house.
