Advice on Roofmate

Probably a dumb question to all you experts, but what would happen if I used wallmate under a tiles roof terrace and roof as opposed to Roofmate.

any advice would be helpful.

Also as I would be tiling over the top would it be best to use flexible cement as opposed to ordinary cement?
