Advice on Wall on Carport with contemporary slats

We wish to put a wall with door on the back of the carport and have it look contemporary.
Below is the type of look we are going for, with Cedar horizontal slats, however what would you build the wall from?
We would build it as a stud wall, however to stop the wind and rain coming through (I want to turn the carport into a not so chilly gym). Would you put OSB with a membrane, then the slats, or just OSB, or something instead?
(Would the OSB look ugly being seen through the slats)
