We had a frozen pipe yesterday from the stop cock to the boiler.
Discovered that we had pipes in the kitchen roof void that were uninsulated.
Cold water was flowing direct from the stop cock but hot water and any cold water flowing through the roof were affected.
We turned the water off, opened all of our taps and put a mini heater in the roof space. After a few hours turned the water on and all was okay again.
Since then I've lagged the pipes and covered with insulation for good measure.
Had a good feel of the pipes and couldnt find/feel any damage.
Is there anything else we should be looking out for or should consider ourselves "lucky" that we spotted the problem?
