I am renovating an upstairs bathroom so the ceiling is into the loft space. The ceiling is in poor condition so I will line by screwing boards over it to hang a suspeded ceiling below it. The plan is to install LED downlights.
If I install the LEDs into the ceiling they will have the insulation ontop of them. It is rockwool in plastic tubes and I fear that the plastic would melt and the lamps might overheat due to lack of ventilation.
If I hand a ceiling, there could be a condensation problem on the old ceiling.
Does anybody have any experience in dealing with this situation they could share?
Thanks, Johntr
