I am having problems with the above listed machine. It about 10 years old has performed faultlessly, but recently has started stopping part way through a programme. I had an engineer out and he thought it was the heater so he changed that and all went well for a bit. It started doing it again so I changed the motor brushes (which had no effect, but it did run quieter!) I have checked that he pressure switch pipes are clean and the pump is also clean.

How do I get into the service menu on the machine and does anyone have a link to a service manual?

Many Thanks

Matt

You won't get a service manual, they are trade only. Post the PNC number on the door sticker so we can identify the machine & hopefully help you resolve the problem.

Ok couple of questions. Because some of these models had problems with the motor overload device (klixon) tripping under heavy load.
Does your model have a display? & can you post a photo of the control panel as there are several fascia versions. I can guide you through a diagnostic sequence to retrieve the last error stored in the Eeprom if you post a photo of the control panel. But at the end of the day I strongly suspect you have either a motor or a pcb fault.

Ok. Turn the machine to off. Press & hold in the two top buttons to the left. Turn the program selector one position clockwise while still holding in the buttons. After 3-4 seconds the LED's should flash & the alarm (if activated) bleeps. Release the two buttons & turn the program selector slowly clockwise until you get an error code in the display. This might happen at position 10 or the next last position (my memory is a little foggy on which). Be aware that each position will start a single component test, i.e. you will hear the door lock click, water coming in etc but don't take heed to that. What you are looking for is an "E" code (most probably E52). If it is E52 you will have to change both the motor and pcb (the new & modified motor requires new software). If anything other than E52 appears post it here...

Yep, get an E52 error at the SPIN position. So its a motor and main PCB change then? Whats it likely to cost?

Many Thanks

Ah, yes. Not going to spend that sort of money on a10 year old machine. Thank you for the good advice. Looks like a new one.
