Aeg oven B8872 won't turn off! Help

I have had to unplug the oven from the mains as even if it isn't on it heats up. The back glows bright red. Could there be a problem with the thermostat or is it something more serious. Many thanks in advance for the help.

If your oven is still heating up when it is switched off then it is a fire hazard & you should notify AEG who should repair it for free & may have to, if they have not already, issue a recall notice( I can't find one) for that product. Threaten them with connecting the Health & Safety Executive if they try to fob you off. Please do not use this product under any circumstances.
