My machine will not empty, there seems to be about 2 inches of water lying above the drum base.

I tried to carry out the emergency emptying, i the book. I unhooked the little hose and unscrewed the end nozzle ... expecting to be soaked in the process (as per the last time I did it)

Unfortunately nothing happened.

Any suggestioins would be appreciated. I think the entrance to this wee tube must be blocked but I don't know how to get to that

Regards !

Is the display flashing E20 ? Anyhow, open the flap at the base of the washing machine. THere is a little rubber hose. Take the stopper out of this hose, and drain the water into a suitable container. When empty, unscrew the drain filter, and clear the crud out. Screw drain filter back in, put stopper back in hose. All should now be OK. I commend you on your choice of washing machine. Very reliable.

Thanks Eddie, but I have actually tried that. The water is still in the drum.

I think the entrance to this little hose must be blocked.

You will have to undo the drain filter then. Be warned, all the water in the drum will come out from here, so either move the machine to a suitable place or be prepared to get rid of a lot of water.

Try blowing through that little emergency drain pipe, likely blocked with - sludge !
Had similar with my Neff W/M needed a real strong puff or three to clear.
If that doesn't work ... Perhaps a length of stiffish copper wire bent tightly in half, smooth bent/curved end first up the pipe to gently probe for obstructions? be gentle but firm .. ;)
