Aerator For Kitchen Mixer Tap Doesn't Screw All The Way Up

I purchased a tow aerators for my kitchen mixer tap now but neither will screw all the way up even with the rubber washer taken out, it leaves about a 3mm gap.
Any ideas on what I can do?

Not being rude but is it a big deal. The gap gives it a "designer" look.

Looks like there is no thread left to screw up to.

What does the picture on the box/internet look like?
