Hi Guys,

I'm planning to install a DAB aerial via a UHF/DAB diplexer, due to the current outlet being a grid jobbie with all four positions already occupied, I'm trying to find an in-line decombiner (but struggling)! are there any issues with not decombining the signals at the room end & just using a wide frequency passive splitter with feeds to TV and DAB?

TIA

Basically it should not be a problem except that a splitter will lose around 4dB of signal. TV tuners cover band 3 which is where DAB is but the front end should reject DAB when looking at UHF in exactly the same way they would reject band3 TV.

Thanks chaps,

Sam, my issue is that grid decombiners take up 2 gangs of the grid plate.

I think I will have to adopt the suck it and see approach.

Ta again.

Sorry."A grid jobbie" meant nothing to me initially. I see, now, that you meant a modular socket plate with all 4 positions filled.
