I have a top load GE washer. Just recently I have noticed (while top open) that my clothes did not seem to be actually circulating in the machine during the wash/agitate cycle. My agitator is working, meaning it is going back and forth properly.
BUT, correct me if I am wrong, isn't your load of clothes not only supposed to be agitated but ALSO rotate from top of water then slowly pulled down to the bottom and back up again?
I pulled apart the agitator from the top to research it myself but all looks fine. No broken teeth etc. I wasn't however able to find the clutch assembly thinga-ma-bobber. I have a basic idea of what it might look like but it wasn't "in" the tub, so I will assume it is in underneath somewhere if I have one at all for this model. the washer as I said is a GE Model # WBVR2060V1WW I believe and it is I would say about 5 to 6 years old.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to pay a washer tech to simply tell me that there is nothing wrong.
Thanks!
