Air admittance valve outside.

I want to replace some old cast soilpipe that at present vents over the top of the roofline via an offset. Is it within the regs to replace this offset with an air admittance valve just under the eaves?

No, you can't use one outside in case it freezes.

OK thanks. I'll do it the old way then. Plastic pipe is pretty light anyway.
