I hear a lot of radio adverts from YouCool who promote the fact that you don’t need to exhaust your hot air or you don’t need a consdenser (I forget the exact details).

Does anyone know how that works and where the hot air is going unlike normal air con?

The heat from the condenser must be going somewhere. If its not vented to outside, it must be going into a heat sink. They probably use mains water and dump the warmed water down the drain.

Yes, it's a water cooled system, but it takes some digging in their blurb to find that out...

Very interesting, I had never heard of these.

If it can store the hot water in your DHW system, then seems very good, but it does say, where you can't use a conventional system. I wanted to close my windows, and the normal portable AC needs a pipe out of the window, so instead I directed it up the open fires' flue (chimney) and it seems to work well, no open windows.
