air in system

I am having problems with air in two radiators upstairs, I have a closed system using a Halstead Ace High combi boiler . I have to vent air from the radiators weekly. Is this normal? what can I do to cure?

try lighting the gas you vent

Kev why? What are the possible outcomes to igniting the gas?

if it burns its hydrogen
then you have electrolytic corrosion going on (serious)
sealed system wont pull air in

Kev how is electrolytic corrosion caused? The system was only fitted about 5 months ago, is it an installation problem or a boiler problem?

its caused by chemichal (yes i know) reaction beetween dissimalar metals put a cleanser in the system for a couple of days when you flush it out add inhibitor should sort it

just had to walk down three flights of stairs (cant remember the numbers) and have a look in the van

Who put the system in? If it wasn't you, get in touch with them. Did they treat it at the time? If they didn't,. they could have left you with a potentially expensive problem.
