I HAVE RECENTLY HAD A NEW SYSTEM FITTED ITS A VAILANT THERMOCOMPACT BOILER WITH SEPERATE HOT WATER TANK
IT HAS TWO ZONE VALVES FITTED BUT I HAVE FOUND THAT THE HOT WATER IS BEING FAVOURED WHEN CH AND HW ARE ON I HAVE SPOKE TO THE INSTALLER AND HE IS COMING TO FIT SOME SORT OF GATE VALVE IN THE HOT WATER PIPE. DOES THIS SOUND RIGHT . ALSO I HAVE REPEATEDLY BLED AIR OUT OF THE SAME TWO RADS (THE HIGHEST) AND MY INSTALLER HAS INSURED ME THAT AN INHIBITOR AWAS ADDED WHEN INSTALLED.

Stop SHOUTING !

"DOES THIS SOUND RIGHT " yes.

Test if it's air or hydrogen. Hydrogen smells and burns - collect in upturned ti, put light to it & it "pops".

If hydrogen put some more inhibitor in. Air collecting could be due to a microleak , or bad system design. Hold glass of water up to vent pipe to check it isn't sucking, while the pump is running.
