does anybody know if i can do an air test with air admitance valves connected. ive only ever tested systems with vented soil stacks , any advice would be much appreciated.
I would say yes. The AAV's should be closed unless there is a negative pressure in the pipework where the valve terminates. As their name suggests, they allow air into the system, and unless faulty, shouldnt let anything out. Pressurising the system for an air test should hold the valve closed for the purposes of the test.
