Trying to figure out how air is entering into my heating system (unvented).
It was drained down over the summer and refilled with inhibitor, so I'm fairly confident that it's not corrosion. The expansion vessel is fine.
Is it possible that the automatic air vent (Flamco Flex Vent) is letting air into the system when the pump starts (it's upsteam from the pump)?
Pump is a Grundfos Alpha 2L, supposed to be self venting but has never done so in my experience. You'd think that the air would eventually get trapped in a radiator but it continues to gurgle around the whole system and opening the bleed screw just lets water out, not air.
