Just looking for a quick resume' on the techniques for dealing with airlocks. When the kitchen cold tap is turned off--its a mixer tap-- there's a loud banging from the pipework in the vicinity of the rising main. No other tap has this effect on the pipework. I've sort of learned to live with it but I'm also aware that long term, it could result in joints leaking.
Its been happening since I replaced the copper above the plastic main; I've tried turning down the incoming pressure but its made no difference. As far as I can tell, all the pipework is secured with clips.
Cheers.
