Besides it pales into insignificance compared to the money top bankers and industrialists get. Not to mention the money MPs get for sitting on the boards of various companies, doing nothing at all except protecting those companies interests in parliament.

Because not many ex players have the footballing knowledge that Hansen has, he is paid for that reason, and there is not much he doesnt know about the game. Look at the pundits Sky sports use, they have nothing on Hansen and it wouldnt surprise me if they got paid a lot more than he does.
