Hi all

My alarm keypad has got itself into a tiz .. it just beeps when any key is pressed and nothing is being registered.

I'm unable to set / unset the alarm - just get an annoying beep on every key press. I've tried killing the power from the fuse but the battery is keeping it active so I can't even try the old 'turn off and on again' trick.

I'm going to call in an alarm specialist next Monday but in the meantime let me know of anything I could try to reset it.

Many thanks for any suggestions!

Have you checked for any numbers stuck in keypad.
Rub across all keys then try full code number and tick.
Are any faults displayed on keypad.
May require total power down the reboot.
Mains off
Disconnect battery
Mains back on
Reconnect battery
Code then tick.
Could have tamper engineer reset, this will depend when installed.

Thanks Handymanjo

On disconnect of battery the alarm went off. I've since powered up and reconnected the battery and the alarm stopped sounding.

Keypad responds but I've tried the code, the also the enable code which I knew from earlier but no joy.

Just seeing all indicator lights are lit up - yellow, red and green - pretty :)

HI

We are having an extension and we needed to remove a pir sensor. So I have disconnect it from the alarm box, But on the key pad it still lights up. I know you can use the night set to omit the zone to set the alarm. But we need to remove it from the key pad permanently can anyone help?

Keypads often get locked up due to cable issues, power or sticky keys.

Power wise when was the system last serviced and when was panels back up battery last replaced.
