alarm wont set

I have a Menvier TS400 I tried testing if the external alarm was working today it wasnt.
The internal alarm went off but not the outside.
I tried doing the bell test and stupidly omitted to press number 1 after entering my code (first 3 digits) and home.
since then nothing is working properly it is showing unset but nothing works.
I cannot do first two digits and away to set the alarm now.

any ideas ?

Changed the code?

Try setting with full code, see what happens. Generally a solid small panel.

thanks but I am unsure which number I may have pressed.

I have tried putting in the full code twice that doesnt reset it either?

If there is nothing showing you have probably changed the code inadvertenly.

If the panel was set up with the default zones used, you can reset the whole system and then used the default codes. Then obviously change back to your usual.

Page 13 is the defaults.
The Reset proceedure is also very clear. Any problems "call back"

Then do the bell test correctly, if you need a new bell we can also assist.

My page 13 on the manual is about Initial power up?

I have 3 zones set and final exit, will these be cleared by what you suggest?

Yes,initial power up sequence is what will default the codes, and the panel.
If the panel was wired as it is suposed, then nothing will change, maybe the entry exit time ( was it 30 seconds before?).
~Possibly the part setting, but easy enough to check and reprogramme.
You have the right manual at any rate.

so do I take the front panel off to do this? If so should I switch off the mains?

Yes the panel has to be opened.
TS400 is a bit fiddly with its two stage lid so just watch how it seperates.
You will have to power down the panle to do the reboot.
I would just remove the fuse from the spur, then the battery lead.
Short the pins and connect the battery ( at the same time). Then put in the code and replace the covers. Then refit the spur fuse.
Job done, apart from the code change needed.

If you are unsure about working with electricity then get in an alarm engineer.
Electricity can kill. Never undertake works unless competent.

Sounds overkill I know, but i`m not going to be the one touching something wrong if unsure.

how do i programme the final exit button? after the reset? zones seem to be in the manual but not final exit?

Do you have a final exit button ( Exit Terminator) ?
Not seen one fitted to a TS400 before ( Always a first time I suppose).

The final exit is a seperate entity, dont worry it will still be there.

Its a small panel, and they tried to stuff a lot into it, but really it is easy to tame so to speak.

i have on the bottom row , unset, tamper,final exit
on the top row 1 to 5 with an led for each

is that different to normal ts400's?

i just meant as mine as a final exit light? is that what you meant by not having seen one of those before?
