Just bought a renault clio sport! Dont have the locking wheel nut remover so cant get wheels off! They are the mcguard type and have the spinning outer sheath! This means the standard reverse thread removers will not work! Any ideas how I can get them off without having to spend 150 at renault!
cheers

take the car to a fast fit place and they will muller them off for you for a fee.then buy some new ones.

Do you have access to a welder? I've welded an ordinary hex head bolt to the top of a locking wheel nut before now. You need to protect the allow wheel from weld spatter if you're worried bout the cosmetics though.

The original post was in 2008; the car will long since have been scrapped, I'd bet (y)
