alpha boiler

hi there i have a alpha cb28x boiler with a digistat rf 2 wireless system the problem is the water will not heat without the radiators being on and sometimes not then either. the red light on the scr receiver is on all the time does anyone know anything about them cheers kev

the red light on receiver has nothing to do with the hot water, in can however be caused by turning the power supply off then on, if that is the case adjust set temp on r/stat until flame indicator goes off or comes on.

hot water prob could be split/holed/stretched diaphragm - will need changing

hi mick would that stop the boiler from working ....mine still working at the mo. but the hot water keeps on going cold now and again ps whats the diaphram do and is it a dear job sorry for being a pain mate cheers kev

First simple thing to check is the clip on dhw flow switch, to the left of the DV. If thats ok then go for a diaphragm, bit of a pig on these as the plate HE has to be removed to get at it.
