After some initial help! We have an Alpha condensing Boiler which has stopped firing up to heat the water on the timed cycle.

When I switch the central heating on it fires up and warmth goes to the radiators but no such joy with the hot water from the unvented cylinder ? Any ideas ?

For info the immersion element is working fine and is currently our only way to heat the tank.

You will need someone with G3 qualifications to take a look at it.

I could tell you what is probably wrong with it but you cannot fix it yourself.

Thanks Armo - I wouldn't be brave enough to attempt fixing it and will get someone in - out of curiosity what do you think is wrong and any ballpark costs to repair?

Thanks

I really can't say as it would be encouraging a self fix and this really is not a DIY job, trust me I have seen what damage can happen if unvented cylinders are not worked on by qualified people.

As for price I am not from your area so could be off the mark with that one.

Sorry I cannot be more help.

The important thing to remember is that these cylinders should be serviced anually.

Its nothing to do with your boiler it is an external control that is faulty shouldnt be too expensive to repair, as advised call someone with G3 (Unvented ticket) and they will sort you out no problem
