Alpha E96 error

Hi

I have an Intec 28X boiler and we keep.getting an E96 error message.

We had someone look at it ages ago who advised something to do with the ignition not sparking correctly.

Does this sound right or anothee problem

Hi Loraine,

I’ve looked in the manual for that boiler and it mentions 2 things:

The fan - gas safe registered engineer required
The flue maybe blocked/obstructed - jus check nothing outside is covering the flue, failing that you will need the services of a gas safe registered engineer

Thanks. Flue doesnt look like its obstructed but is vertical straight up to my roof

Chances are it won’t be, more like the fan then.

No you have an Alpha Intec2 28XE, a very different boiler
