Alpha HECB33 Red Light

Customer has Alpha HECB33 and intermittently has fault with the red light flashing once per second.
Alpha tech says this is overheat problem.
Any ideas.
Boiler approx 5 years old

Whats it doing when this happens, eg hot water, heating etc?
